WHAT IS THE MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THIS TRAINING CAMP?

The goal of this training camp is to finalize physical preparation ahead of the U19 Handball World Championships, which will take place in the first half of August in Cairo, Egypt, while also beginning the technical and tactical preparation for this event.

Tristan Gourguechon, Right Back

I think we’re pretty much ready. We played in the European Championship last year, which helped us prepare, and I believe these two weeks of training will allow us to gradually build up momentum. I feel the group is quite ready for this challenge.

Frank Prouff, Head Coach

There’s a real sense of unity here, with the weight training room, the outdoor fields, and the very practical gymnasium. This afternoon, we’re doing a nature raid with paddleboarding, canoeing, cycling, and an orienteering race.

The first objective is team cohesion — working together on something other than handball and creating bonds among the players. It’s also about having a variety of activities to step away a little, clear our heads from time to time, and avoid being completely consumed by handball.
