HI BENOÎT, CAN YOU TELL US WHAT THIS TRAINING CAMP IS ABOUT?
The goal of this training camp is to validate everything we’ve done since the beginning of the season. It’s about working on the points that stood out to us during the Vancouver tournament, consolidating the project, strengthening the team’s mentality, and working hard to be in top form for the Asian tour.
HOW DO YOU FIND THE FACILITIES AT PARC DE CAPBRETON?
When you feel good somewhere, you don’t hesitate to come back. Here, it’s true that we benefit from all the facilities, from the dojo to the weight room. There’s the synthetic pitch, a gymnasium, and fields of excellent quality. For us, it means we can train in the best conditions, because we have very little time between each tournament and every session has to be maximized.
CAN YOU TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR DAILY PROGRAM?
This morning, we did weight training. Then we continued with a structured session, with clarity, in line with what we wanted to put into practice this afternoon. And this afternoon, we had a high-intensity training session simulating match conditions, to master the pace of runs and contacts and prepare for the tournament.
WHAT ARE YOUR UPCOMING COMPETITIONS?
The next step is the two Asian tournaments in about ten days. Then we’ll be back here for another week in April. And finally, the grand finale in Los Angeles for the World Series title.
