The town of Capbreton, and at its very heart the Games Preparation Centre Sports Park, will host the finals of the FFF U13 Football Festival for the 22nd consecutive year on 6 and 7 June 2026. The town, the Landes Football District and the local SCS association have once again organised a flawless event at this unique venue.
Speaking : Loreto Guagliardi, president of the Landes Football District, who highlights the significance of hosting such an event for the 22nd consecutive year in Capbreton.
WHAT IS THE U13 PITCH FOOTBALL FESTIVAL ?
The tournament brings together 16 boys’ teams and 16 girls’ teams from all regions of France and the overseas territories. The aim is not just sporting competition; alongside the matches, there is a whole educational component, which is a priority, featuring quizzes and technical skills circuits. It is not just the competitive aspect that prevails, which makes this event both eco-labelled and strongly focused on education. This is our 22nd consecutive year in Capbreton. For us, this really gives us a platform to showcase the tournament and host a wide range of football personalities, whether they be elected representatives, national technical staff or even scouts from professional clubs.
Speaking : Etienne Carrère, First Deputy Mayor in charge of sport and community life, festivities and port activities, highlights this collaborative effort with the Landes Football District, the council’s technical teams and local associations. A successful partnership that has been in place for many years.
AND WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR THE TOWN OF CAPBRETON ?
For the town of Capbreton, it’s always a pleasure to host this sort of event at the sports park; it really showcases the sports facilities, which are in use all year round thanks, in particular, to the local clubs, but it’s a real boost to our town to see young people from all over France coming to our facilities. The local football club, SCS, is fully involved in organising the event and, above all, in bringing the sporting complex to life throughout the weekend, particularly through the refreshment stands and all the catering facilities. This is truly a very important source of local support, without which this sort of event could not take place.
